Agritech for smallholder farmers
The Haller Foundation works with smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa, where good agricultural knowledge is the difference between a hard year and a sustainable livelihood. We redesigned and rebuilt the Haller Farmers Android app to put that knowledge in farmers' hands.
The "My Plot" tool gives farmers a visual blueprint for optimising their land use: crop rotation, soil management, water capture, livestock. A custom content management system lets the Foundation continuously update guidance as conditions and research evolve, with the changes flowing through to every device.
Built for the realities of African field use: offline-first, low-bandwidth, designed for older Android devices that field workers and farmers actually carry.
